Italian Neoclassical Period Walnut, Ebonized, & Finely Inlaid Center Table
having an elaborately inlaid and veneered tilting top the inlays are a variety of different grains of walnuts and lighter fruitwoods and consist of an outer alternating triangular band, a series of leaves and vines with fleurs de lis inside two double string bands, the inner circular medallion surrounded by triangles with a centered leaf-form starburst surrounded by vine-like scrolls, resting atop a turned and ebonized pedestal on three legs having applied carved and ebonized medallions, all raised on casters. In pristine condition with all veneers and inlays intact. Italy, early 2nd quarter 19th century
