a whimsical pair of painted iron and metal appliques, the backs of wrought metal depicting grape leaves, the arms with painted leaves, the wrought iron spiral-forms as grape vines, with faded gold painted bobeches. In excellent condition with fading throughout to the painted surfaces, no retouching, recently wired and grounded. Italy, 2nd half 19th century
